$20,000 Worth Of Burial Insurance

Can you believe this:
CINCINNATI -- As the U.S. Army continues to keep thousands of troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan, Army recruiters have a new perk to offer new recruits.

The Army is now offering a $20,000 "QS" – or “Quick Shipper” -- bonus to new and prior service recruits joining, selecting any job and shipping out for training within 30 days.
It really should be a called "QF" - or "Quick Funeral" - bonus. $20,000 will provide for a really snazzy funeral service.

Since just about 100% of the "new" recruits are quickly shipped off to Iraq. this "QF" bonus would be particularly useful to them.

A point to ponder: It would seem that the Army is using a substantial amount of taxpayers money to bribe foolish young people into harm's way. Is the taxpayer culpable?

Another point to ponder: $20,000 won't even pay for a decent automobile nowadays.

Here Comes The Results

I've been long been saying that the Bush/Clinton/Bushlite actions over the last twenty years of crippling our national research efforts would come back to haunt us.

Now we have this little jewel of admission and mis-direction reported by Newsweek:
Aug. 6, 2007 issue - Six years after 9/11 , U.S. intel officials are complaining about the emergence of a major "gap" in their ability to secretly eavesdrop on suspected terrorist plotters.

The intel gap results partly from rapid changes in the technology carrying much of the world's message traffic (principally telephone calls and e-mails). The National Security Agency is falling so far behind in upgrading its infrastructure to cope with the digital age that the agency has had problems with its electricity supply, forcing some offices to temporarily shut down. The gap is also partly a result of administration fumbling over legal authorization for eavesdropping by U.S. agencies.
"... partly from rapid changes in the technology". That's partially correct. Rapid advances in technology by other nations is far more correct. "problems with its electricity supply...". What nonsense. Somebody overloads a wall socket and bang! A great excuse for their incompetence.

I imagine that most folks who consider the money spent by the federal government for research was just a big waste never considered just how we were using the results of that research.

Well, now that Bush/Clinton/Bushlite have pretty well completely managed to shut down and/or transfer the great majority of our research efforts to overseas facilities and nations, one of the unanticipated consequences is that our ability to use the latest and greatest to keep tabs on our enemies no longer exists.

You can bet your last dollar that the opposition is taking the greatest advantage of America's loss in the technological fields we once enjoyed. As a result, our spy networks and people are headed for the trash heap of obsolescence.

How Many?

(New Haven-WTNH)_They are willing to take the risk and wait hours. Hundreds of people, some illegal immigrants, are lining up at New Haven city hall for new municipal I.D. cards that have stirred controversy across the country.
I love that line, "some illegal immigrants,". Yessir. Law-abiding legal citizens in the Hew Haven area have just been clamoring to get a "Municipal I.D. card".

The line started forming at 6 AM, and by 9:00 AM the line looped around the building. There were so many people, officials had to send hundreds of folks home.

Imagine that. Here we have a city with enough pro-illegal supporters in office to promote such a stunt, and then they are totally unprepared for the numbers of illegals that show up.

What it does is vividly demonstrate how bad the illegals situation in the United States really is.

It's a lot like cockroaches. They hide from the light and only venture out in the dark. This New Haven stunt is sort of like using night vision goggles, it allows us to get a glimpse of the real scope of the problem.

"Out Of Control" Congress

White House spokesmen complained today that Congress was "getting more out of control every day".

What was left unsaid is that it's not nearly as controlled by Bush and gang as it was prior to the last election, and that was what they were complaining about.

So it's true, Congress IS getting more out of control, and it's way past due.

Minimum Wage? No Problem...

In the latest Rockettes line-up(democratic debate) an on-line voter asked the candidates if they would work for minimum wage.

That is effectively what happened when a voter asked whether the candidates would serve four years at $5.85 an hour rather than the president's annual $400,000 salary.

"Sure," replied Clinton.

From that I can assume:

1)- The rest of her answers were outright lies also.
2)- The perks are so great that the salary doesn't matter.
3)- The lust for power makes everything else a non-issue.

Pick your favorite... one of them has to be correct.

The guys With the "Hot Rods"

No, not the sexy macho(with any number of STD's) dudes with an award-winning "Oscar"...

And no, not the NASCAR dudes with the quarter million dollar race cars.

It's the Hot-rod wielding "gonna whup you ass" Indian dudes in Jharkhand, India.
A women was stripped and brutally beaten with hot iron rods after she was branded a witch and held responsible for the death of a woman in a Jharkhand village, police said Monday.
Some guy named Basdeo Manjhi said 45-year-old Chandmuni Devi had used black magic against his wife who actually died of snakebite on July 14. He complained to the panchayat(village bigwig), who then ordered that Chandmuni be stripped and beaten with hot rods and sickles.
Witch-hunt cases are rampant in Jharkhand. More than 600 people, mostly women, have been killed in last 10 years after they were charged of practicing black magic.
I bring you this article just to remind you that these are the type people Bill Gates wants to bring into the U.S. to manufacture his products.

"Wave Of Hate"

Cecilia Munoz, the National Council of La Raza's senior vice president for research, advocacy and legislation, speaking on the national effort to sink the Senate's immigration bill, talks of a "wave of hate" that La Raza claims was generated by talk radio.

According to Munoz:
That had an extraordinary impact in the Senate, and as a nation, I don't think we should be comfortable with the fact that the United States Senate responded to what was largely a wave of hate"
It was no "wave of hate" that sunk Bush's criminal amnesty bill, a bill loaded with provisions for his North American Union debacle. it was a wave of disgust.

Millions of Americans have become disgusted and fed up with the estimated twenty million illegals that have quite literally invaded our nation, stolen millions of our jobs, overwhelmed our hospital systems forcing many to close down across the nation, brought back long-conquered diseases to the United states and along with that a wave of crime that is swamping our prisons. They have had enough of this administration's refusal to do anything about it, other than petulant foot-dragging.

Why must we also put up with the babbling of racist idiots like this Munoz woman? Of course she is a racist. She blames whites for rejecting the concept of legalizing some twenty million law breakers, most of them her near and distant in-laws. Just consider the name of her organization and all that it implies - La Raza - "The Race".

Most of us do not even realize the hatred that racist organizations like La Raza harbor against us. Most of it's venom against us is delivered in Spanish, and thus slides in under the radar screen of English-speaking Americans. It is never reported by "our" news outlets.

But it's time we paid much closer attention to these organizations, packed with racist and hate-filled supporters of all the illegal conduct and resultant crime we have been suffering through.

Are you fed up yet? Or are you content with the idea that women like Munoz can spew hatred and nonsense nationwide without consequence?

Just thought I'd ask.

A Missed Opportunity

DUBAI (AFP) - Burj Dubai, a tower rising in the booming Gulf emirate, has become the tallest building in the world at 512.1 metres (1,680 feet), surpassing Taiwan's Taipei 101 which is 508 metres (1,667 feet) tall, developers Emaar said Saturday.
It should have been a hotel. Then, it would fill up with people from all around the world speaking all manner of languages and not understanding each other.

It could have then become the all new, modern-day Tower Of Babel.

You know, consider where it's at.

Kitten-Kabob

COTATI, Calif. -- A 3-month-old kitten is fighting for his life after being set afire, allegedly by two teenage girls last month.

The male shorthaired kitten, named Adam, received second- and third-degree burns over 75 percent of its body and was being treated at the Animal Hospital of Cotati, located in Northern California's Sonoma County, officials said.

Two girls have been charged with cruelty to animals in connection with the case. They were arrested last Friday, accused of pouring flammable liquid on the cat, only 8 weeks old at the time, and setting it on fire. The girls are being held in Sonoma County's Juvenile Hall.
Fred Reed was talking recently of a "failed race".

But these two teen-aged girls are pretty good examples of "failed Humans"... race not important.

The eleven year-old boy who saved the kitten said he heard the kitten screaming and the two girls laughing.

Laughing.

What are we to do with humans like that?

How Much?

Almost seven-tenths of a billion dollars, that's how much:
LOS ANGELES (AP) - A judge on Monday approved a $660 million settlement between the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles and more than 500 alleged victims of clergy abuse, the largest payout yet in a nationwide sex abuse scandal.
Now that's just the LA Archdiocese. Where are they going to dig up $660,000,000.00? From all the Mexican illegals(mostly Catholic) that have been squatting in the area?

I'll bet if you follow this story, the vast majority of that money will never be paid.

No Real Need To Look Hard

I was just pondering over the idea to go research how stupid the average American really is. Well, proof comes galloping in , compliments of FOX news:
An 8-year-old boy expecting to catch a plane home is denied entry for appearing on a terrorist no-fly list, reported MyFoxKansasCity.com.

Bryan Moore was set to catch his first plane trip when he arrived at an airport in Cortez, Colorado to fly home after visiting his sister, said the report.

"They almost got me scheduled in and then the lady just bowed her head and said, 'We can't get you on this plane, you're a terrorist,'" Moore said.
Sigh.

Run It Up The Old Flagpole

Let's see how this one flies:
BAGHDAD (AP) - The U.S. military's top general said Monday that the Joint Chiefs of Staff is weighing a range of possible new directions in Iraq, including, if President Bush deems it necessary, an even bigger troop buildup.
How stupid does this administration think we all are?

I'm going to quit asking that question and do a bit of research into how stupid the average American really is.

Says Marine Gen. Peter Pace:
"We're (doing) the kind of thinking that we need to do and be prepared for whatever it's going to look like two months from now."
That statment is nothing more than a "run it up the flagpole" type of crack to see how it flies, exposes the thinking inside the White House, and is another attempt to prepare Mr. and Mrs. average Joe (Ken and Barbie) to accept the idea we need more troops and more time in Iraq to do whatever it is Bush wants to do.

You no doubt have read Fred Reed from time to time. He recently discussed how Kaplan, which sells prep courses to subvert the SATs, is now using comic books for that purpose. Sez Fred:
You know, vocabulary lists, drills, that kind of thing. If you are too witless to have acquired a vocabulary by graduation from high school, you memorize a bunch of those word thingies with all those, like, letters in them, and forget them the day after the test, but you’re in.
I imagine that Bush will send more troops, spend more money, kill more Americans and Iraqis in his quest to do whatever the hell it is he's doing, and Ken and Barbie will just sit on their thumbs in their church pew next Sunday and conclude it's all in God's hands.

Come to think of it, I don't need to research the stupid level of the average American. We can all see it daily, and it's high.

When Push Comes To Shove

BAGHDAD (AP) -- Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki shrugged off U.S. doubts of his government's military and political progress on Saturday, saying Iraqi forces are capable and American troops can leave "any time they want."
Remember when Bush said on TV, nationally, that if the Iraqi government asked us to leave, we would?

Well, the above statement by Iraqi Prime minister Nouri al-Maliki is about as close as you can get to being asked(or told) to leave. He might actually ask(ot tell) us to hit the road, then it's put up or shut up time for good old President Bush.

Things just may get real interesting, real fast.

Totally Nuts

MOSCOW, July 14 — President Vladimir V. Putin formally notified NATO governments on Saturday that Russia will suspend its obligations under the Conventional Forces in Europe Treaty, a key Cold War-era arms limitation agreement, in response to American plans to deploy a missile shield in Eastern Europe.
Not exactly... it's in response to Bush's pulling out of the Antiballistic Missile Treaty so he could pursue his goal of a Eastern Europe antimissile shield. It wasn't Congress that pulled out, it wasn't America that pulled out, it was Bush, all by himself.

The ABM treaty took years to craft and resulted in the elimination of massive amounts of offensive weapons on both sides. Now Bush is destroying all that in order to install a ballistic missile shield over Eastern Europe, one that has yet to be proven as even marginally workable.

Eastern Europe?

Two questions... who the hell is he supposedly wanting to protect in Eastern Europe, and even more to the point, who from?

I find it beyond reason that Bush is destroying a major treaty between two superpowers, both armed with thousands of nuclear weapons and re-starting up the Cold War, in what is actually a really bad idea attempt to protect Israel (them again) from a theoretical missile attack by Iran, someday/sometime in the far off future... by a missile force Iran doesn't now have, supposedly tipped by nuclear weapons they don't now have and most likely never will.

The real ABM threat has always been between the United States and Russia. So is this Eastern Europe missile shield going to protect us from the Russians? No. For the United States, all this Eastern Europe missile shield accomplishes is the loss of years of effort to create a safer world by much saner and wiser men than Bush and his collection of criminals in the White House.

Like I said, it's all totally nuts. This basket case of a president has a great potential cause us all irreparably great harm if he is allowed to run rampant through the White House for the next year and a half.

Far better we quietly send him out to pasture - along with shotgun Cheney - to that little Texas ranchito he likes to swagger and strut around on so much.

After that, we go get Wolfowitz, Pearl, Rice, the whole gang of neocon nimrods that got us into this horrid mess in the first place.

More Attacks?

Taliban military commander Mansour Dadullah, in an interview broadcast on ABC News' "World News With Charles Gibson," said the London attacks were "not enough" and that bigger attacks were coming.

"You will, God willing, be witness to more attacks," he told a Pakistani journalist in an interview conducted just four days ago.
All these guys have to do is threaten another attack and the west goes into hyperdrive, overreacting, rising threat levels, causing much disturbance and costing millions and millions.

When you think about it, a vocal attack is just as effective (in disruption and cost) as a real one, but costs the "terrorists" no lives, no money, no effort.

Since the west has repeatedly demonstrated an irrational fear of its own shadow, vocal attacks have become a major part of their strategy, and an effective one.

The fact that Bush and gang, along with the media, take every opportunity to keep the fear level high is a major reason why those guys are so effective with at it.

Want to get angry about it? Get angry At Bush, he's the leader of this pack of mangy curs.

Voodoo Economics

(Fortune Magazine) -- Just how red-hot is the current worldwide expansion? "This is far and away the strongest global economy I've seen in my business lifetime," U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson declared on a recent visit to Fortune's offices.
Notice how he is referring to "worldwide" and "global"?

I see two things happening here.

-1) The U.S. stock market is now heavily invested in foreign ventures and wildly successful corporations in places like the Asian rim, where business is booming. Good for stockholders.

-2)The U.S. dollar is in free fall towards complete collapse. It takes more and more dollars every day to buy the same things, including stocks. Bad for us.

Most Americans - uneducated in economics - constantly complain about rising prices. They seem to have a layman's grasp on the concept of supply and demand, but they have no grasp on the disastrous effects of creating money.
Whether the Federal Reserve notes in use now are "real" money is not the issue here. They are the units of exchange we accept today, so I refer to them as "real money", real or not.
Whenever you charge anything - food, clothes, jewelry, theatre tickets - you are actually creating money, the exact amount -dollar for dollar - you charge. The numbers of dollars you charged go into our system and are treated exactly like real money, and thus become real money.

Think not? The credits you created by your purchase are used by the company that accepted them to do whatever they wish: Pay employees, buy more product, put in the bank as savings. Sounds like real, usable cash, right? It is.

This increase in the money supply puts pressure on the dollars already in circulation, reducing their ability to purchase any given product. Enough increased pressure results in a "Price increase", which really means it is now taking more less valuable dollars to purchase a product.

Every time Bush and Congress authorize more deficit spending, the result is the same. They purchase "product" with non-existent money, creating "credits" that are treated just like money, enter the system, and become money.

We all have charge cards, use them often, and so are just as guilty as any other simpleton who wants his rewards up front.

If you have a debit card, the results are different. A debit card immediately transfers funds from your account to wherever you used the debit card. No additional "credits" are introduced into the system.

There are those who claim to use their credit cards but pay them off each and every month, thereby avoiding finance charges. Idiots all. Every dollar they charge adds additional pressure to the system, reducing the purchase power of their dollars - and ours.

The stock market is booming, but it no longer accurately reflects the health of the American economy, it's just like U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson said above, it's reflecting "worldwide" and "global" conditions, something that NAFTA, GAT, and the covey of treaties have created... at the cost of every American alive today, and for generations to come.

Gasoline is hovering around three dollars a gallon. Many food products have gone up almost twenty percent. This I know, I closely watch the cost of food. Other products have been steadily increasing in cost. Yet the feds tell us inflation in under control.

Nonsense.

We are about to bite the bullet, thanks primarily to the efforts of Bush and Clinton. What's unbelievable about all this is the Hillary is a front runner for our next president.

Insane.

A Reservist Rebels

News sources tell us of a U.S. Reservist, who has served four rotations to Iraq, has sued to prevent his being sent for the fifth time.

Fred has said that when the troops finally refuse to fight - as they did in Viet Nam* - the war will be over. Done. Ended.

I think(not feel) we may be close to that time in Iraq.

*The military will deny this, the media won't report it, Bush has no concept of it. None the less, it is the truth of the matter.

The Poorest Excuse Of All

Bush has made his interim report of the lack of progress in Iraq. Even he admits that of the eighteen goal's for the Iraqi government that had been set out, none have been fully implemented and only eight of the eighteen have been partially acted on.

But Bush calls this progress, further proof that this man has never once in this life had to face reality.

At a news conference that coincided with the report's release, President Bush said,
"I believe we should succeed in Iraq and I know we must."
Thousands of Americans have died in this debacle because he "believes". That's no reason whatever for all the deaths America has suffered, the billions and billions of our national treasury he has wasted, the rancor and animosity he has created around the world.

He believes.

That's his big reason for prolonging this debacle? He believes?

That has got to be the poorest excuse ever offered by a politician in support of a failed policy.

How About Daughters?

I watched a bit of Bush's rambling on national TV today. Couldn't watch it all, my stomach just can't take it.

He said something that really triggered by BS alarm, big time. He said that he would not have asked American Dads and Moms to send their sons off to war if he didn't believe America's security was at stake.

Well, of course it's not, the war in Iraq was never about security. But that's not my point.

This disingenuous bastard has two daughters, so he didn't say a thing about American Dads and Moms sending their sons and daughters off to the Bush fields of slaughter.

I imagine he and his writers assumed we wouldn't notice, but by now most of us realize that this guy is not the brightest bulb in the box, and that he just might be concluding that most Americans, except maybe some sellout congressmen - and women, once daughters - are still totally suckered in... and that all those nasty negative polls are nothing but lies, lies, lies planted by those hell-bent unchristian liberals.

More "Executive Privledge"

Knowing you will be just thoroughly shocked by this:
WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush invoked executive privilege Monday to deny requests by Congress for testimony from former White House aides Sara Taylor and Harriet Miers.
What a neat gimmick. Wish I had something like that when I was a kid and faced with a situation of having to lie to get out of a jam.

Mom: Roooobbbbbeeeeerrrrt.... did you break this window?

Me: I'm invoking executive kiddage here on this issue.

Mom: Oh. Well! OK then, go out and play.

Me: Heh Heh...

The Great (upcoming) Debate

I enjoy reading a blog called "Vox Popoli". The author, Theodore Beale, uses the Nom de plume Vox Day, and is a very savvy and independently wealthy dude that dabbles in science fiction writing. Actually fantasy writing, to be more precise.

He enjoys calling himself a "scientist and Christian Libertarian", his latest metamorphosis being into a "Japanese scientist and Christian Libertarian".

He comes from the school of thought that says God created Adam out of clay and Eve from one of Adam's ribs. He relishes in applying logic and reason to his arguments, using dozens of books and very astute authors in his support for his side of the story, and has an open challenge to debate anyone in the ID/creationist battle for hearts and minds, or whatever it is they are fighting over.

Well, someone named Scott Hatfield has "cheerfully" accepted his challenge, so Vox has set up the ground rules(Round one to Vox) for this event and the time it is to commence.

I will read with my usual anticipation of humor, intentional or otherwise, that will be prevalent in this debate, one to be conducted in a Christian blog, rules graciously provided by the Japanese scientist Christian Libertarian author.

I have no idea who Scott Hatfield is, nor do I care. What I am really interested in is what premise Vox will be using to base all his rationale and logic on. Since the best logic in the world is worthless if based on an flawed or incorrect premise, this becomes key.

Scholars and theologians around the world now acknowledge that the biblical tales of creation, of Adam and Eve, the Tower of Babel, the Deluge, the Garden of Eden, were based on texts written down millenia earlier in Mesopotamia, mostly by the Sumerians. The Sumerians, in turn, clearly stated that they got their knowledge of these events from the very old(pre historic) writings of a people they called the Anunnaki.

Clay tablets, tens of thousands of them, have been unearthed in the last hundred and fifty years that have now been successfully translated, revealing earlier versions of all these tales of creation.

So is would seem to me that the Vox should identify which particular version of all this he intends to use as a premise for his side of the argument:

-1) The Jewish version of these tales written down in what we refer to as the Old Testament, obviously "borrowed" from the Sumerians, and then rather selfishly credited to their own particular god:

-2) The Sumerian version of these tales, whom they readily admitted they were not the authors of, tales they say they got from a race called the Anunnaki:

-3) The Anunnaki version of these tales, pretty well shrouded and lost in the fog of time.

All three choices seem pretty shaky to me, but let's see what he comes up with, and what he will use as the foundation for all his logic.

Let's hope they stay focused, something seldom done.

Sounds Good To Me

So, what are we waiting for?
Nearly half of the US public wants President George W. Bush to face impeachment, and even more favor that fate for Vice President Dick Cheney, according to a poll out Friday.

The survey by the American Research Group found that 45 percent support the US House of Representatives beginning impeachment proceedings against Bush, with 46 percent opposed, and a 54-40 split in favor when it comes to Cheney.
I see no reason on this earth to sit on our thumbs for a year and a half, waiting for these guys to leave, givng them all that extra time and opportunity to insert their you-know-what up our you-know-what.

Toss them out now... they deserve it, they've earned it.

A Call For Justice

Be sure to watch this:
Keith Oberman

So What's The Real Solution?

This just in from California:
California lawmakers continue to fine tune a plan to require Gardasil vaccinations against human papillomavirus, which is transmitted by sexual contact, for all pre-teen girls in both private and public schools in the state, worrying many parents due to California's reputation as a leader in such decisions.
Ok, so what have California parents done or been doing - other than objecting - to prevent such exposure?

If you may recall, I posted some time ago that the University of California reported that a bit over 82% of their female students graduated with Herpes, a life-long reward for a moment or two of carelessness and stupidity. Less than 3% reported to have had the STD before entering college, but then again, today's university graduated females think nothing of lying, so who knows?

Obviously, the state feels something has to be done to help slow this STD epidemic in America - and epidemic it is - just vastly under reported by the mostly female(and probably infected) talking heads known as the national media.

So why do so many young girls who go to college get nailed with this lifelong misery?

Probably because the parents who are screaming about these proposed shots never taught them a damn thing about safe sex practices. You know... Always planned to, but just never got around to it....

So now the State wants to try to prevent one kind of rampant STD over the objections of bug-eyed ranting and screaming outraged parents over shots for their precious little babys, just like the ones you see on "Girls Gone Wild".

What would you suggest?

This Guy Is One Of Harvard's Best?

Michael Chertoff, number one bigshot head of the Homeland Security Department has just told us(on national TV) that we cannot enforce our immigration laws.

Chertoff graduated magna cum laude from Harvard in 1975 and magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1978. Yes, he's another damned lawyer. This guy represents the cream of the crop from these supposed august institutions of higher learning.

Apparantly, these places don't teach critical thinking to their graduates, at least the ones that become lawyers like Chertoff.

Chertoff claims the U.S. government can't round up and handle ten or so million illegals scattered about the country. If he believes that, he should just quit his post and go ambulance chasing.

However, the government can certainly handle and keep in line twenty times as many taxpayers that certainly would prefer NOT to pay taxes.

How? By fear and intimidation, Threats of fines and imprisonment, and often repeated raids and confiscation of private property.

Use the same tactics on illegals. Demonstrate to these illegals that we are going to chase them down, toss them into deportation camps and then heave them back across the border, allowing them to take only the clothes on their backs with them.

Even Mr. "magna cum laude" Chertoff could probably figure out that such activity would send two or three million of them packing.

Then, send a few thousand(a reasonable number) of the law-breaking businessmen who hire illegals to federal prison for five years, where they could become the sex toys of the incorrigible minorities that reside there.

That would eliminate the number one draw for illegals... jobs.
The other magnets of free school and medical? Just post the black-clad, heavily-armed federal agents who are presently harrassing and raiding witless pot-smoking hippies at those places, round up the ones that can't speak english and check them our for legal citizenship.

After that, we would most likely only have a few thousand of them to gather up and toss.

End of problem.

A point to ponder... with all the lawyers we have in government today--and the mess they have made of things--we citizens should have figured out by now that lawyers can't run anything. All they can so is talk, and do lawsuits, which--of course--is talking in front of a judge... another lawyer, who also engages in endless chatter.

And half the candidates running for president are lawyers.

Floods

The very latest on floods is just in:
The floods that have devastated swathes of the country are God's judgment on the immorality and greed of modern society, according to senior Church of England bishops.
The floods that have devastated swathes of the country are a result of global warming, according to Al Gore and friends.

The floods that have devastated swathes of the country are a result of a normal warming cycle that the earth has gone through countless times before, according to science.

According to the Chruch of England, God is responsible.

According to Gore, Man is responsible.

According to science, nature is responsible.

No matter who you are - or what you believe - you have company... and backup.

Gotta love it.
