Problem Solved

We knew it would happen:

As many as 20 to 30 former Guantanamo Bay detainees released within the last two to three years are suspected by intelligence and Defense officials of having joined forces with the Islamic State and other militant groups inside Syria, Fox News has learned. The development has cemented fears that the U.S. military would once again encounter militants taken off the battlefield.

Not gonna happen.

Well now. This means that now ISIS has to feed and clothe them, provide some sort of shelter over their heads instead of us doing all that at Guantanamo and eventually sending them to New York to stand trial in some pitiful show trial funded by American taxpayers.

The big bonus for us with them rejoining their old buddies:

No longer potential money makers for lawyers, those who rejoined the terrorists have set themselves up a valid targets which we can send to their 60 virgins the next time we run across them.

When they were at Guantanamo, we didn't know what to do with them. They have solved that dilemma for us

If the Seals or Rangers or Green Berets need a little practice, send them in to hunt them down. Show their demise on TV and Facebook.

Good for our morale, bad for theirs.

Should Have Stuck To Peddling Burgers

Wendy Davis' Texas gubernatorial campaign relied almost 100% on a woman's "right" to abortion, including late term abortions, where the baby is often born alive and then killed by the doctor.

Apparently, not the best platform to run for political office with:

Wendy Russell Davis is on fire. And I don’t mean that in a good way.
I mean it in a five-alarm, set-her-own-skirt-aflame, billowing-human-torch kind of way. To say that Davis is smokin’ hot is not a compliment. It’s a campaign incineration status update.
The Democratic darling of the Hollywood Left and glamour gal of abortion thought her path to the Texas governor’s mansion would be a pink-sneakeredwalk in the park. Instead, her single-issue campaign has combusted.
The high point of Davis’ career came last year when she flamboyantly opposed state restrictions on late-term abortions in the wake of Philadelphia death-doc abortionist Kermit Gosnell’s baby-killing spree. Gosnell’s conviction provoked national revulsion at abortion gone wild. But Davis’ radical supporters at the Texas Capitol donned tampon earrings and waved uterus flags in solidarity with abortion rights at any cost. Planned Parenthood ghouls and celebrity femmes latched on to La Davis.
Militant gender identity politics, however, can only get you so far.
Davis’ gubernatorial bid the past month has been a series of unfortunate, cringe-inducing events exposing her empty soul. Last week, she insanely accused her opponent, Republican State Attorney General Greg Abbott, of wanting to ban “interracial marriage.” Abbott’s wife, Cecilia, is the Hispanic granddaughter of Mexican immigrants.
The week before, Davis ridiculed Abbott’s physical disability with a vulgar TV ad featuring an empty wheelchair. Abbott was paralyzed in 1984 when a tree fell on top of him while he was jogging. In response to a bipartisan backlash against her crass campaign insensitivity, Davis doubled down by attacking Abbott for lacking “empathy” — while she cynically surrounded herself at a damage-control press event with disabled human shields (one of whom had to bedragged away from the podium by a Davis staffer while the crowd waited in awkward silence for the next speaker).
To bolster her Girl Power bona fides, the Davis campaign disseminated a photo of young female “friends” posing on Twitter last week after voting for the Democratic candidate. The tweet carried the hashtag “#GenWendy.” Like, you know, “Generation Wendy.” The photo, however, turned out to be a pilfered image of young Virginia College Republicans getting out the vote for GOP gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie. “All out of support, Wendy?” a Virginia CR spokeswoman jibed. The “imaginary friends” of Wendy became a social media mockfest.
Desperate for positive press, Wendy welcomed New York City liberal Jon Stewart to Austin, Texas, for a last-ditch appeal on his comedy show Wednesday night. Quel appropriate: a professional clown propping up a miserable joke of a candidacy. Trailing in all the major polls, bleeding cash and abandoned by women voters by double-digits, Davis turned to Stewart to get out the vote andpump up anemic sales of her book, “Forgetting to Be Afraid.”
Stewart forgot to mention the trail of discredited autobiographical details Davis exploited to gain a national platform. The Dallas Morning News reported earlier this year that she “blurred” several “key facts” of her rags-to-riches story. As feminists hailed the single mother for putting herself through Harvard University while caring for two young daughters, it emerged that a second husband had taken custody of Wendy’s girls, cashed in his 401(k) and secured a loan to support her higher ambitions (before she divorced himon the day he finished paying off her college debts).
Which-Way Wendy tried to pivot from her biography botch by becoming a born-again Second Amendment rights advocate (after working to ban gun shows while serving on the Fort Worth city council).
And in the ghastliest turnaround since Linda Blair’s head spin in “The Exorcist,” No-Shame Wendy claimed she would support legislation banning abortions after 20 weeks—after vaulting into the national spotlight with her13-hour back-brace-and-comfy-shoes-aided filibuster on the Texas Senate floor last year against the very bill that would have outlawed late-term abortions and cracked down on filthy, dangerous abortion clinics like the one serial baby-killer Gosnell operated for 15 years thanks to shoddy government oversight and abortion-rights apathy.
Callous evil is as callous evil does.
The lady parts-obsessed liberal bet all her feminist marbles on her chromosomes. After Election Day, all Wendy Davis will have to show for it are well-coifed selfies and the ashes of her Vogue magazine fashion photo spread.

Was She Really Serious?

Or is she really that special kind of stupid?

Yessir... she knows who hired you, and it wasn't your employer!
I guess everybody works for the government.

Appearing at a Boston rally for Democrat gubernatorial candidate Martha Coakley on Friday, Hillary Clinton told the gathered crowd not to listen to anybody who says that "businesses create jobs".

Said Clinton:
"Don’t let anybody tell you it’s corporations and businesses create jobs,”
And she wants to be president.

And there are those who will actually vote for her for no other reason than she is  a female, regardless of qualifications, or lack thereof.

Death Of A Planet

The below is a false color map of Mars taken by MOLA, the Mars Orbiting Laser Altimeter. Because of MOLA, we actually know more about Mars topography than we do of Earth.

The darker the color, the lower the altitude.

We now know that Mars once had a large ocean (the deep blue at top) and a useful atmosphere.

So what happened?

That huge dark blue crater was caused by an impact from a very large something. When it hit, it literally blew the Mars atmosphere into deep space. Without an atmosphere, the ocean rapidly "boiled" away into space.

I am told that the shock waves from the impact radiated away in all directions, meeting at the opposite side of the planet, creating the solar systems largest known volcano, Olympus Mons. It's not at the exact opposite of the impact crater, mass concentrations here and there slowed some of the shock waves, causing the volcano to erupt off-center.

And these shock waves were mind-boggling. They were like massive Tsunamis on Earths oceans, thousands of feet high, but consisting of dirt and rock instead of water, lifting and destroying everything on the surface as they sped around the planet,  to meet in yet another tremendous cataclysm where Olympus Mons is now, a twelve-mile-high monument to that day.

If there was life on Mars at the time - and there most likely was - it was most certainly extinguished almost instantly on that fateful day.

There is a fanciful theory that the Martians, seeing this monster of an impactor approaching,  built one or more - possibly many -  lifeboat spaceships and headed for Earth, giving Earths indigenous lifeforms a jumpstart to civilization.

Maybe the Martins were already here, and were a part of a two-planet civilization.

True or not, it's good stuff. It would make a good movie.

Gateway Boulevard

The government has been building this massive overpass a few miles east of Terrell (TX) for the last couple of years, modern, totally up-to-date, eight lanes wide, servicing what will be a divided four lane hightway, one that jumps over the railroad tracks and US80.

This image, from Google earth, shows that millions of dollars and two years of work has ended up with  this "overpass to nowhere". It is in a north-south orientation, and the new signs just erected say it is called "Gateway Boulevard".  That makes a bit of sense, since in America avenues generally run east-west, and boulevards run north-south.

But Gateway? From where? To where?

The upper bit of road that swings west turns into a narrow two lane access road that was used to transport most of the material needed to build this thing. Other that that, in both directions  this overpass leads to nowhere.

Remember a few years back they were talking of a proposed high speed truck route from the Mexican border to Kansas City? It was to haul freight from Mexico's "proposed" all new deeper ports designed to handle all the traffic from China, and then using Kansas City as a transfer point to everywhere else in the U.S.

Now I wonder if there are more of these new road structures dotted up and down the landscape from this one, eventually to be a part of this once proposed truck route.

If Mexico is building those new ports, they will shut down all our west coast ports that cannot service the newest freighters that draw too much water. Goodbye tons of jobs in L.A. and San Diego and who knows where else.

Yessir, Looks like our federal and state governments are doing their very best to protect American jobs and industry.

Maybe I'll search with Google earth and see if any more of these things are being built along a general north-south direction

Maybe not... I'm just curious.

Third Ebola Patient In Dallas

Now we have two secondary infections  caused by the Nigerian Thomas Eric Duncan, the man that brought the disease to us. We are told there will be more, since almost 75 nurses and aides were exposed to this despicable cretin who lied about having been exposed to an Ebola victim.

He carried his dying sister to the hospital twice in Nigeria, and lied about it when questioned at the airport.

OK, so he is/was a liar. Many more will lie  to gain entry to America and its vastly superior health system.

Is this now an epidemic?

When the rate of secondary infection from any disease is less than one,  the disease will die out. If the rate of secondary infection is more than one, it is then considered an epidemic.

With this new confirmed case of Ebola, the rate of secondary infection from Duncan is now more than one.

Figure it out for yourself.

Will it become a pandemic? That's the real question here.

But don't worry, the CDC says they have it all under control.

Riiiiight.

GREAT! Just Frigging Great!

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Officials with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have confirmed that a person in Dallas definitely has the Ebola virus. Tuesday’s official determination makes the patient, now isolated at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, the first diagnosed Ebola case in the United States.

The above demonstrates a gruesome reality in today's medical  community. Way too many of our "doctors" should have had to repeat more than just one year, and many whose only options were to troll places like nursing homes for patients should have been washed out in the first place.

I think maybe those shown ended up at the CDC.

They are telling us to wash our hands and that the Ebola virus is spread only through bodily fluids.

So if nobody sweats, spits, coughs, pees or poops on any surface you may touch, and any food that was prepared by strangers that ends up on the dishes and flatware you may use - or put in your refrigerator - is handled only by people wearing gloves, masks and containment suits, well, hey... no problemo!

I'm sure most of you have watched as a bartender sloshed his dirty glasses in a  sink of murky water and wondered just how clean those glasses really got...

Restaurants are no different.  Effective cleansers and sanitizers  are expensive.

Seriously, just how insanely stupid are the gatekeepers? To let people in from an area aflame with a deadly disease?

And if a cure is found by today's profit mad drug companies, imagine how expensive it will be.
